Our core steering group

Voice4Parents core steering group is made up of parents and carers whose children are aged between 0 and 25 years and have a wide range of additional needs. Steering group members are from differing communities and backgrounds and all share a common purpose, to ensure the voice of parents and carers in Wolverhampton remains at the heart of service planning and delivery.

Here's what some of our members have said

‘Since joining Voice4Parents it has become clear that collectively our voice can really make a difference and that our views and opinions are valued by professionals.’

‘Wolverhampton now has a voice that represents parents and carers of disabled children and children with additional support needs.’

‘Through Voice4Parents I was able to express my experiences of the SEN system to a wide group of professionals involved in education.’

‘Voice4Parents has enabled me to ensure that my negative experiences can be used to positively influence change and this is very empowering.’

‘As individuals, parents of children with SEN, can struggle to have their voice heard, but as a member of Voice4Parents, they can use their experiences and knowledge to work positively with professionals and help to make a difference.’
